Hitech's Operating Team Wins CIWM Award
We are the proud winners of the 2007 CIWM (Chartered Institute of Waste Management) Peel Peoples Cup for the Best Operating Team at a Waste Facility.
This award recognises the team work that goes into the success of a company and we were up against strong opposition from major International Waste Companies
According to the CIWM "The PEEL Peoples Cup recognises excellence in the operating team of a licensed or permitted waste management facility. The scope of this award has been extended from landfills, to reflect the changing nature of the industry and can include waste treatment facilities, commercial scale composting operations, energy from waste facilities and many other facilities. Judges look for evidence of excellence in site supervision, operational features, teamwork, staff welfare, safety, data management, local acceptability, environmental impact, aesthetics, plant maintenance and general impressions.
