Services - Land Remediation
Hitech's innovative attitude to waste solutions has recently seen the company become involved in land remediation projects where contaminated land is treated using various forms of technology to remove the contaminant from the soil. Typically the contaminant is hydrocarbon although we do offer solutions for many other pollutants.
Hitech offers the option to either treat this material on the customer's site or remove the material for treatment at our Paisley Treatment Facility. Using mobile plant licences for various pieces of technology, we can use a suitable location on a customer's site to install a temporary treatment facility and work our way through the contaminated land until it is all suitable for local disposal of even re-use on the site if desired.
The on site option tends to be more popular where the quantities of material to be treated justify the mobilisation costs involved with moving the equipment. Where a smaller quantity deems this option to be non viable in financial or practical terms, Hitech's Paisley facility offers a centralised location within Scotland for the off site treatment of the waste. We can arrange uplift and transport of waste from site to our facility and can then treat the waste down to a level suitable for return to site if desired.
