Services - Tanker Hire

If the company's roots are traced, it could be said that tankers were the basis on which HITECH was founded. Jim Hutton's appetite for improvement has evolved the type of machinery used in today's industry. Starting with the basic vacuum tanker, he tweaked and improved until the evolution of the SUPERVAC. This amazing machine has exceeded expectation on many an occasion and has become the machine of choice for many customers who quite simply cannot be convinced that an ordinary vacuum tanker will do their job. Whether or not they are correct, the humble vacuum tanker still has its place as a very useful tool in today's climate and approximately 75% of the tanker services that HITECH offers could be completed, albeit at a much slower pace, with a conventional vacuum tanker.
In very simple terms, the conventional vacuum tankers build vacuum to enable them to lift waste. This is sufficient up to a certain level and provided the waste is not of too great a viscosity, the tanker will lift the material. As the saying goes, "necessity is the mother of invention" and it was only when the jobs became too demanding to be conquered by the vacuum tanker that Jim Hutton invented the SUPERVAC.
The SUPERVAC uses air flow to propel material up the hose and this circumnavigates the requirement of building vacuum and consequently limiting the amount of "lift" provided by the machine. The SUPERVACS have proven themselves time and time again over the years until we are now at a stage whereby we actually relish the thought of finding a job that beats it! Vertical lifts of over 300ft have been achieved by the SUPERVAC and materials rarely need watering down to be susceptible to its strengths.
HITECH provides a solution to all tankering problems. More recently we have added the well known DISAB to our available range of machines. This Swedish built machine outpaces most in the application of dry waste and even our SUPREVAC has to work to meet the challenge. Typical utilisation of the DISAB machinery would be in a water treatment facility where sand filters required emptying and large volumes of sand need to be moved. The DISAB eats up this type of material and jobs which hitherto had taken days to be completed by manual means are now swept aside in hours by these monsters!
It seems that every possible use has been made of our tankers over the years and the small amount of time taken to complete work has surprised many of our customers. While we have laboured the merits of our machines, it cannot be over emphasised that the machines are no good whatsoever without the influence of good operatives. To this end, we spend not only money but more importantly time and effort to ensure that our operatives are best matched to the job they are doing. The men train with experienced operatives until such times as they are confident to "go it alone". Even then, the Managers within the two depots are always looking out for them and displaying new techniques and methods to maximise the output from every single piece of machinery within the company.
Interceptor Emptying, Manhole Cleaning, Drain Cleaning, Tank Cleaning, Bund Emptying, Gully Cleaning - our tanker hire division has numerous application and any enquiry will be addressed - if a tanker cannot solve the problem we will look at other methods of getting the job done and giving the customer the solution they seek.
