Services - Waste Disposal
HITECH has come a long way from its humble beginnings in the field of waste disposal. In the initial stages of the company waste streams such as drain cleaning material, silts, etc. were the main focus of attention and solutions to these materials were developed at an early stage. From then on, the waste streams became ever increasingly involved and appropriately advanced solutions were sought. As with most situations in the company, the solutions were developed in house and this again was the case until we are at the stage today where other contractors bring their effluent problems to us.
At HITECH all liquid effluents are treated, from oily waters to sludge and silt including waste material categorised as Special Material. Our plant in Paisley handles thousands of gallons of waste per day and we are constantly increasing the types of waste that we handle at the plant.
An extension of this service has seen us move out of our premises in recent years to actually deal with customer's waste at their own premises. This is an entirely new development within HITECH and has led to setting up a design and build team to install, run and maintain effluent plants all over the country.
HITECH has one of the busiest oil recycling facilities in Scotland and we convert waste oil to good product for use in a variety of industrial applications. Our technicians treat all waste to appropriate levels for various requirements and our systems can handle all types of waste oils. We have capacity to increase this even further with the purchase of additional land and will continue to add new waste streams to the materials that we already handle.
In addition to handling waste internally HITECH has developed a network of partnerships across the country to ensure that we can handle all liquid waste produced by our customers. Even if we cannot dispose of the waste ourselves, we will source a disposal facility somewhere within the country that can deal effectively with the waste. HITECH can transport all liquid waste and have specially commissioned vessels such as stainless steel and lined barrels to enable us to handle acids, alkalis and other types of hazardous waste liquid.
Again the emphasis is on customer relationships and attaining the best solution to any problems experienced by the customer. We aim to be a flexible partner to ensure that the company motto of "INNOVATIVE WASTE SOLUTIONS" becomes reality.
